The Wockoder portable turntable is a good product which comes in a price range with a lot of competition. Nonetheless, it does well against some of its rivals. Wockoder did a fine job for a company which is new to the whole vinyl records business. This model comes in a suitcase, unlike the Stanton STR8150. Still, the particular design on this model won’t appeal to everyone’s taste. Part of that is mainly due to the fact that it is old-styled and to some people, it might feel weird walking around the streets with it.
Features That Make It Stand Out
First and foremost, the most eye-popping feature here is the design of this model. It is made to look like those old-fashioned turntables sitting at your grandparents’ house. Still, it has tons of functionality beneath its cover. Let’s get into that.
As most of our reviewed turntables, this one has three speeds at which it spins its records: 33, 45, and 78 RPM. It can also play any vinyl record size out there. The speakers are built-in again, as in the 1ByOne. They are somewhat good and have a warm and full sound. The whole unit can connect through Bluetooth to your device. There are a 3.5mm jack and an RCA line-out, as well as SD card reader and a USB port. All in all, the construction, sound, a functionality you are getting are proportional to the price you’re giving. Combined this functionality with its unique styling and you get a distinguishable product.
The materials used here are lightweight and durable. This makes it a turntable which is easy to carry around but if you want to travel a lot with it, make sure you keep it intact as some customers report that it gets easily damaged (our testing unit was just fine). Either way, let’s get to the specs.
Another great thing here is that (unlike the rest of the turntables we reviewed) it comes in a variety of colors: red, black, denim blue, sky blue, and khaki. This makes it a more appealing product to a wider range of people. This is unique because most turntables come in one specific color.
